The United States and China have reached a temporary trade agreement that offers relief from previously increased import tariffs. This agreement is effective for a period of 90 days and affects shipments coming from China into the United States.

⚠️ This change applies only to customers located in the United States.
Customers in the EU, UK, Australia, and other regions are not affected.

🧾 What Has Changed?

• Temporary tariff relief: The U.S. and China have agreed to reduce certain trade tariffs for a 90-day period. This means previously increased import duties are now temporarily lower.

• End of de minimis exemption: The $800 duty-free threshold no longer applies to shipments from China. All incoming packages may now be reviewed by U.S. Customs and subject to import fees.

At Candletown.net, many of our items are shipped directly from China to offer competitive pricing and product variety.

With the recent changes, U.S. Customs may still apply import fees upon delivery — though temporarily at a lower rate. These are not charges from Candletown.net and must be paid by the recipient if applied.
